As Frank Robins enters the Micro Mart, he nearly stumbles over Alice Kibbert, who is squatted near the door, putting together the sections of the Sunday New York Times. He stands over her, panting, sweating lightly, as she collates the different piles of newsprint, the "Arts and Leisure" section, "Book Review," "The Week in Review," and so on.
