Win Some, Lose SomeSouth Beach is where the town started. The years went by, the wars, the inventions. Progress marched away to the north. Hotels became bigger and more lavish. Mansions were constructed. Islands were dredged out of Biscayne Bay. Causeways. Throughways. Motels. Traffic. The Fontainebleau. Eden Roc.
