Brandy"Claret is the liquor for boys, port for men, but he who aspires to be a hero must drink brandy." Either Samuel Johnson's classic 18th Century dictum no longer applies, or the fact that cognac consumption has tripled in this country during the past 10 years suggests that heroes have proliferated of late at an unparalleled rate.
